I have a sketch of the Chunking Harbor done by Ivon Donnelly. It was given to my grandfather, George McLorn, and is inscribed "to the transport officer with fondest memories".

Hi Tony
My name is Kevin O`Hara and my father was in the Indian army during the war. My Grandfather was WSD O`Hara, a member of the Board of Directors of the Taku Tug and Lighter company and the Astor House hotel.I was born in Tianjin in 1950 and have returned on several occassions and one to visit the Japanese internment camp at Waifang. I have several photo albums full of china photos from the period 1930-1950 including the river and the Tug and lighter company. Maybe we could share some stories and information. My Uncle John Simmonds was also in China and has written books on China. I live in Hamilton, New Zealand (kohara@waikato.ac.nz)
regards
kevin

I have been clearing out papers and came across a lovely 1930 black ink on card drawing by Ivon A Donnelly of a Foochow Pole Junk. Probably purchased by , or gifted to my parents-in-law when they lived in HongKong in the 1960s. I have scanned the image and would be happy to email it to you.
