Stephen Kentwell drew this to my attention.
Tony,
I am researching the ex-pat community that lived in Old Shanghai just prior to and during the Japanese invasion of 1937. I haven been fortunate to make contact with several people who have provided me with much needed information (included among these individuals is Greg Leck, author of 'Captives of Empire'). I learned about your grandfather while researching another ex-pat. She was interned at the Chapei Civilian Assembly Center rather than at the Yu Yuen Civil internment camp, which I think is where your grandfather was interned. However, I think they may have known one another. Would it be possible to correspond with you privately? I have set up an email address at Google for the sole purpose of speaking with you. Unfortunately, I am unfamiliar with Blogger, so I'm not sure you'll get what you need to contact me from this post. I'm going to post anyway and hope for the best.
Thank you very much Tony.
Tony,
I've adjusted the privacy settings on my Blogger profile. Hopefully this will make it possible for you to contact me. Thank you.
