Definitely not a Pechili Trader (also referred to as a Kiangsu Trader, sha-ch`uan, or Shantung Trader.) Your picture appears to be a Shitau Bay Trader (note the Bow wings and coloring. )
Northern junks like the Pechili Traders never had Bow wings, but Bulwarks which ran into the Bull-head cross beam. Bow wings are typical of the southern Junks ...south of Hangzhou Bay. The oculus is a southern tradition, not found on northern trading Junks.
Ivon A. Donnelly did a fine job preserving traditional Junk material, nice to know that his descendants are doing the same.
kind regards
Michael
it's not true. Many northern junks had bow wings but very smaller.
